The Catholic Student Union at the University of South Florida is a mission of the Diocese of St. Petersburg ministering to students as they navigate through college life and explore Catholicism while building friendships and growing in their faith. Campus ministry includes retreats, bible studies, faith formation and recreational activities based on worship, evangelization, discipleship, service and student leadership. The mission also includes a permanent community of parishioners including faculty, staff, alumni and local residents who assist the mission and attend mass at the chapel. All are welcome to join in the Celebration of the Eucharist and continue to explore their Catholic faith journey.

To create a home for young adults to discover their Catholic faith journey and continue in their spiritual path of becoming life-long disciples of Jesus Christ
Much reflection and thought went into the creation of the Catholic Student Union at USF logo to truly represent what is core to the mission. The offset cross at the center of the logo is the same design as the cross on the tabernacle located on the chapel altar. Like the tabernacle that is the center of the church – the cross is the center of the mission. The longer arm of the cross that breaks out of the circle represents the outreach of the mission and the opening in the circle welcomes people in. Another image that is often seen in the marketing is a line drawing of the Virgin Mary. This image is a replication of the Our Lady of Grace statue located just outside the chapel in an area for prayer and reflection
