Content Creation Intern:
As a Content Creation Intern, you'll help to execute the content rundown as well as experience the fast-paced environment that takes the written product from idea to publication.

Partner Services and Events Intern:
As a Partner Services and Events Intern at Family First, you'll help to support our organizations intitiatives.
Graphic Design Intern:
You'll work with our Content Team to design beautiful web and print graphics.

We are in need of medical personnel who can volunteer weekly or periodically. We are also able to offer unpaid internships to USF students. We have had students who have majored in social work, nursing and women’s studies from USF, HCC and UF.

Internship Description: The Diocese of St. Petersburg seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of internal and external communication experiences while serving for a well-known faith-based nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities: The Communications Intern will help with the following:
• Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter
• Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories
• Design flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events and initiatives of the Diocese
• Update the Diocesan website when needed
• Organize and attend Communications Advisory Committee meetings and take minutes
• Reach out to the community organizations and the general public with messages about the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s mission to courageously live the Gospel.
• Collaborate with staff on new ideas for marketing and communications
Qualifications:
• Exceptional writing and communication skills
• Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
• Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
• Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with diverse audiences
• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of the Catholic faith and enthusiasm for the mission of the Diocese and the people we serve
Start Date: Position open until filled, requires 3 – 6 month commitment.
Hours: 8 – 12 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office. Up to 4 hours can be completed at home.
Compensation: This is an Unpaid/Volunteer internship
