Going to Confession is difficult for most, if not all, people, but please be assured of the compassionate ears of the priests who hear confessions at the Catholic Student Center. Within the Sacrament of Confession, priests are bound to absolute secrecy! If you haven't been to confession in a few years or don't remember the Act of Contrition, please don't let that stop you from receiving this Sacrament of God's infinite mercy and grace! The priests are here to help you and walk with you, no matter the difficulty and challenges that you might be dealing with!
If the Confession times listed above are not convenient for you, please call Fr. Kyle at 813-450-1698 or e-mail him at frkyle@catholicusf.org for an appointment.
On First Fridays during the Fall and Spring Semester, we have Overnight Exposition beginning after the 6pm Friday evening Mass, with Benediction Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. Here are the dates for overnight exposition during the Spring Semester:
As Catholics, we believe that Jesus Christ is fully present in the Eucharistic elements of the Host and Precious Blood that have been consecrated during the Holy Mass. While still retaining the appearance of bread and wine, the consecrated Host is placed in a vessel called a Monstrance for an extended period of praise and worship. True God and True Man, Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him as well as adore, worship and praise Our Lord! There is silence in the chapel during the time of Eucharistic Adoration which lends itself to solitude with the Lord. Just spending ten minutes or so in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ gives us that opportunity to speak to Him as we listen for Christ to respond to our hearts which are so eager to receive His grace! After the time alloted for adoration, there is a brief service called Benediction in which the priest or deacon presides as Jesus giving us His blessing!
