Are you a student and interested in receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation? Please visit our BECOMING CATHOLIC page to learn more.
As Catholics, we believe that Jesus Christ is fully present in the Eucharistic elements of the Host and Precious Blood that have been consecrated during the Holy Mass. While still retaining the appearance of bread and wine, the consecrated Host is placed in a vessel called a Monstrance for an extended period of praise and worship. True God and True Man, Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him as well as adore, worship and praise Our Lord! There is silence in the chapel during the time of Eucharistic Adoration which lends itself to solitude with the Lord. Just spending ten minutes or so in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ gives us that opportunity to speak to Him as we listen for Christ to respond to our hearts which are so eager to receive His grace! After the time alloted for adoration, there is a brief service called Benediction in which the priest or deacon presides as Jesus giving us His blessing!
